ABSTRACT

Multiple myeloma (MM) is a hematological malignancy characterized by proliferation of monoclonal plasma cells in bone marrow,mostly resulting in bone marrow infiltration and bone destruction.X-ray plain film is a primary imaging modality for MM,and it is also used for Durie-Salmon staging and risk stratification of MM.Currently,advanced imaging techniques,such as CT,MRI,PET/CT and PET/MRI have been widely used in the diagnosis and treatment of MM,providing important references for staging accurately,prognostic evaluation and therapeutic monitoring in patients with MM.The imaging progresses in MM were reviewed in this article.

ABSTRACT

Thyroid nodule is a common diseases of neck,which property is usually identified by ultrasound examination.Color doppler ultrasonography can reflect the distribution of blood vessels and blood flow within the nodules.And with development of new technologies,three-dimensional ultrasound increase the accuracy of identification.Three-dimension power doppler ultrasound (3D-PDUS) can reflect blood flow information within the nodule space,which is more accurate than two-dimensional ultrasound and it can be used to evaluate the blood flow in nodules qualitatively and quantitatively,provide a new reference for clinical diagnosis of thyroid nodule.

ABSTRACT

Crohn's disease(CD) is a lifelong disease and the precise aetiology is still unknown.Differences in the definitions and diagnosis between clinicians make direct influence on therapeutic efficacy on CD.This article overviewed the progresses on the definitions such as staging,relapse,and diagnosis of Crohn's disease in these years in order to decrease the mistakes and be helpful to institute sensible and effective therapeutic regimen.
